Thousands of people thronged Coimbatore bus and railway stations to return to their hometowns for Diwali. The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation has arranged 2,700 special buses to manage the passenger rush. Officials said additional staff have been deployed for ticket counters and crowd control.
