Tamil Nadu to Celebrate Diwali in Grand Style; Leaders Extend Warm Greetings

As the festival of lights approaches, the state of Tamil Nadu is gearing up for a grand Diwali celebration across towns and villages. Street lighting, lantern displays, and cultural programmes are being organised in multiple districts to mark the occasion.

Political leaders from various parties have extended their greetings to the people of Tamil Nadu. Opposition leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) and Anbumani Ramadoss wished the public joy, health and prosperity, noting that Diwali symbolises victory of light over darkness and fosters unity and harmony.

Authorities are advising citizens to celebrate responsibly — encouraging the use of “green crackers”, safe disposal of used fire-works, and maintenance of safe distances during lighting displays to prevent accidents. Local administrations are also deploying extra patrols and fire-safety teams to ensure smooth festivities.

With bustling markets, travel rush, and festive arrangements in full swing, the spirit of Diwali is evident across Tamil Nadu. This year’s celebrations aim not just for merriment, but for a collective reaffirmation of community harmony and festive cheer.
