Maruti Suzuki partners with Tamil Nadu to set up 10 automated driving test tracks

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu Transport Department to build 10 automated driving test tracks across the state — including in Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Madurai, and Trichy.

These tracks will use video analytics, RFID technology, and AI-powered evaluation systems to ensure fair, transparent testing without human bias.

The move is expected to modernise driver training and enhance road safety standards.
